Dingle Mart, Spa Rd
Friday 29th April from 12noon to 1pm
Lisa Fingleton, the Embedded Artist with Corca Dhuibhne Inbhuanaithe, will share some of her creative responses as part of this project taking place on the Dingle Peninsula.
This is a unique opportunity to hear the voices and experiences of participating farmers on the Peninsula in relation to climate change and the impact of extreme weather events. Through photographs, drawings and journals, Lisa has been recording the time spent with the farm families, listening to the challenges they face and sharing the highs and lows of their lives. Lisa will be joined for this session by some of the farming participants.
Corca Dhuibhne Inbhuanaithe, A Creative Imagining is working with ten farming families from the Dingle Peninsula looking at ways in which agriculture can diversify in the face of climate change. One of 15 projects supported under the inaugural Creative Ireland Climate Action Fund, this project is a led by the Dingle Creativity & Innovation Hub in partnership with MaREI and the Green Arts Initiative in Ireland.
This event will be followed by a light lunch in the mart canteen.
